FPO Newsletter: May 2023

Family Partnership Newsletter | Breakthrough Public Schools

Greetings, Families, and Caregivers!

The Family Partnership office is committed to elevating our scholars' social, emotional, and physical needs by presenting a three-month Wellness series. In March, we explored the psychologically harmful effects of sextortion.

Our April Go Live featured the topic of Trauma and its impact on the brain and the ability to learn. The final part of our wellness series seeks to explore the topic of nutrition. Our May Live edition will help us understand how to prevent our children from gaining unwanted and unhealthy pounds over the summer. Research shows that students are more likely to gain weight over the summer. We want to help our families be proactive in the fight against childhood obesity and other unhealthful eating habits. Come find out what you can do as a parent to prevent this at our next Go Live on nutrition!!!
