Lessons Come to Life
We make learning an adventure! Your scholar will experience technology, interactive lessons, enriching field trips, fun extracurricular activities, and hands-on learning. Lessons come to life through the use of Chromebooks, allowing our teachers to see scholar's real-time progress and deliver tailored feedback in the moment, providing an engaging learning experience for each scholar.
We believe in giving shine, nurturing growth, and celebrating the glow in each scholar. Feedback is at the heart of our community, driving us to improve together.
Two Teacher Approach
In every kindergarten through second-grade classroom, two teachers work together in each classroom provide personalized learning experiences tailored to each scholar's skills, strengths, and needs.
We embrace technology and ensure all scholars feel comfortable and confident using the latest technology. Scholars here use 2:1 technology, which means one Chromebook at school and one Chromebook at home to continue education at home. Our Cliffs and Glenville campuses offer unique tech-focused Learning Labs! These spaces were designed for students to get hands-on learning experiences with new technologies like augmented and virtual reality, 3D printing, and artificial intelligence.
Family Partnership Office
The Family Partnership Office provides network-wide leadership to enhance parent voice and support culturally responsive, equitable, and effective family partnerships at all Breakthrough schools. The ultimate goals are to improve the family experience, engagement, and satisfaction and contribute to scholars' academic success.

Caring & dedicated staff
Our people are here to inspire a love of learning and get to know your child by providing the individualized support they need. This includes two licensed teachers in each kindergarten through 2nd-grade classrooms.
We're committed to literacy!
We give every scholar the literacy and reading skills they need to achieve in school and beyond. Instilling a love of reading improves writing and speaking skills, vocabulary, and self-confidence. All teachers are trained and focused on literacy.
Open lines of communication with BPS families create a support system to help your child thrive in school. We share all kinds of updates; what we’re learning, progress updates, reminders, events, and more—you’ll always be in the loop and informed.
Your whole family can attend the same campus!
Each campus is K-8, so your entire family can grow and thrive at the same school from kindergarten to 8th-grade graduation!
What Families Are Saying
“We love it so far! Our kid truly enjoys it and I really like the culture and staff! The communication is top notch! I can look on my phone at any point and know if there is a quiz coming or assignment. I know grades and even how my kid is behaving throughout the day! I also can message teachers and I get responses quickly!”
“I am glad that I chose Breakthrough for my scholar. The staff shows that they care. When I'm picking up my scholar, they are making sure the kids get to their vehicles with the right person. They show lots of affection, and I can tell they have built relationships with the students. My personal relationship with the staff is great, If I have a concern, they are right on it. The principal welcomed my scholar as well as getting to know them personally. This 1st year has been great, and I'm excited to watch my scholar grow. I am truly grateful for all the staff that has helped my scholar this year!”
"The best thing is the curriculum, my child is really learning new things and comes home excited and teaching others the things she has learned in school. She is learning how to identify more words which are helping her read books more without help."
BPS Parent, on Literacy
"I love the fact that they focus on reading. This was my main reason for enrolling. Because my child was having trouble with comprehending when he was reading. He wasn’t understanding what was going on in the stories he was reading. He improved so much. I couldn’t be more grateful!"
BPS Parent, on Literacy
"The teachers here honestly care about the students and put the best foot forward to help them achieve the goal in front of them. And the communication is nonstop with events and my child’s progress. This is my 2nd child to attend and I’m truly happy with this program."

"What’s best about my child attending a Breakthrough School is, Breakthrough Schools really care about your child and their education! They take it serious and also makes my child eager to learn! Communication is very important to me and Breakthrough Schools make SURE you know what’s going on in your child’s class, what’s being taught, ways to improve your child’s progress etc. I love that about Breakthrough Schools and I ALWAYS recommend them to everyone!"
"What's best about my child attending a Breakthrough School to me is that she has access to experience a variety of different educational opportunities to help guide her along the way in achieving her goals for her future."
“This is an amazing school. Both my boys have grown so much and have learned so much — they are doing so amazing in school. I love the Breakthrough family, they did everything to make me stay proud of having my kids be part of their family. My family went through something and it was on a weekend and they still went all out to make sure we were all good and my boys got back and forth to school. I love being part of your Willard campus.”
