Weekly Family Updates

Greetings CLA-EAST Families!

The month of February is an extremely busy but exciting month for our school. Below are brief details of what you can expect in February.

Practice state assessments. On Monday 2/11 and Tuesday 2/12, scholars will be taking their mock state assessments. This is a test that simulates the rigor and feel of the end of the year state test. Scholars will sit for a half portion of the Reading test on Monday and a half portion of the Math test on Tuesday. It’s important for everyone to prepare as if this is the actual test. It’s extremely important that your scholar is here at school on both days on time for practice testing.

Student-led conferences are next week. Next Wednesday and Thursday you will be meeting with your scholar, and homeroom teacher to review their academic progress this trimester. We need EVERYONE sign-up for a winter SLC. Use the link below to schedule your SLC.

Black History Month is here and we have many engaging activities for our scholars. Please see the CLA-EAST BMH agenda and family letter for more details.

Lastly, Re-enrollment is going on now. If you have not already done so, please take the time to complete your re-enrollment by logging in to your SchoolMint account.

I’m looking forward to another great week…let’s go TIGERS!

Yours in Education,
