Weekly Family Updates

Greetings CLA-EAST Families!

The end of the first trimester is upon us and everyone is looking to wrap on a high note. In many of our classrooms, teachers have been working with scholars in getting make-up work turned in. In other classrooms, teachers have begun work on new units for the second trimester. The official end of the first trimester is Friday, November 2nd. Report cards are scheduled to be mailed home on Friday, November 9th. We will have the 1st-trimester academic awards on November 16th at 8:00 am during the community meeting. Scholars earning High Honors, Honor Roll, Merit Roll, perfect attendance, and most improved will be honored at this time.

As October and Bully Awareness Month comes to an end, we must keep in mind that our pursuit to end bullying must not stop. This Friday our scholars and teachers will take part in Anti-Bully rally and march. Beginning at 8:00 am we will have a workshop with a discussion surrounding bullying followed by a march from our school to the Glenville Branch Library. We would love for you to join us!

We are still in need of parent volunteers for several committees. Use this link to sign-up for a committee of your choice. The committees will be in touch with Mr. Franklin throughout varies events and programs at the school.

I’m looking forward to another great week…let’s go TIGERS!

Yours in Education,

Ricardo Franklin, Sr.

Founding Principal
