(FOSSI) Scholarship

Are you a deserving student who loves all things STEM and could use some help paying for college?

This life-changing scholarship opportunity is for high school students studying science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) who plan to attend an Historically Black College or University (HBCU).

The Future of STEM Scholars Initiative program offers 4-year scholarships of 10K per year and will provide internship opportunities, and facilitate mentoring and leadership training. With a first-year goal of funding 150 scholars, this is an opportunity not to be missed!

Both Lubrizol and Breakthrough Public Schools strongly encourage Breakthrough Alumni to apply for this incredible and prestigious scholarship!

The application process for 2021 FOSSI scholars is OPEN, with a deadline of February 15th, 2021.

Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI)
FOSSI is a national industry-wide program that provides scholarships to students pursuing STEM degrees at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and connects these students to internships, leadership development, and mentoring opportunities at participating companies.

FOSSI Partners
FOSSI is made possible by the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Chemours, and HBCU Week Foundation. FOSSI is a core initiative of the AIChE Doing a World of Good campaign and its All for Good: Engineering for Inclusion priority, which is driving industry-wide improvement in equity, diversity, and inclusion.
