Citizens Leadership Academy is Proud to Support our Third Annual Day of Service
This year CLA is partnering with Hands-On Northeast Ohio, City Year Cleveland, I Rise, Cleveland Police 3rd District, Lakeside Emergency Men’s Shelter, and The Reverend Leah C.K. Lewis for this Day of Service.
The day: Students should arrive at school by 7:40 am and be prepared to spend a day immersed in working and learning about service for others. Students will begin with a historical lesson on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his philosophy and the importance of helping others. They will then participate in a lecture by esteemed author and council member, Reverend Leah C.K. Lewis, who will share stories of service and responsibility from her unique perspective. CLA students will then engage in various projects designed to educate and create conversation surrounding the importance of giving back. The day will conclude with a representative from Cleveland’s 3rd District Police Department discussing how a career choice within the service field is both rewarding and fulfilling. Families are encouraged to participate.
All activities will end at 11:30. Dismissal is at 12:00pm. All students are responsible for transportation to and from campus. There will be NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE AVAILABLE.
We look forward to participating with you!
