Weekly Family Update

Greetings CLA-EAST Families!

Our school year is 1/3 complete with tomorrow being the first day of the second trimester! Our scholars had a great charge to finish the first trimester which provided its share of stress. With a great start of the second trimester and a focus on strong work ethic, our scholars can be on their way to a great second trimester. We need your help me than ever. After reviewing our trimester one grades, I am realizing that we have much work to do. We are calling all families to take an even more active role in our school for the second trimester. This trimester will feature parent-days. These will be days that parents are encouraged to come and learn as the students are learning. We anticipate great feedback from our families following these days.

As we enter November, our cultural focus shifts to Diversity Awareness. Our scholars will take time in crew to have conversations surrounding acceptance, difference, and how to make our school an inviting place for all people. Our crew topics will give scholars space and opportunity to learn, explore and express with their peers and crew leaders.

We are still in need of parent volunteers for several committees. Use this link to sign-up for a committee of your choice. The committees will be in touch with Mr. Franklin throughout varies events and programs at the school.

I’m looking forward to another great week…let’s go TIGERS!

Yours in Education,

Ricardo Franklin, Sr.

Founding Principal
