Welcome to Kindergarten
Kindergarten is the first step on the journey to lifelong learning! Choosing a school for your child can be difficult. Finding a school with dedicated educators and joyful classrooms that allow your scholar to grow, explore, and thrive can make all the difference. We hope Breakthrough can be that place for your kindergartner!

7:35am - 8:00am
ARRIVAL
Early drop-off beginning at 7:35am
8:00am - 8:25am
COMMUNITY MEETING
Scholars build relationships, develop social-emotional intelligence, and give and receive affirmations.
8:25am - 9:10am
ENGLISH/LANGUAGE ARTS
Story time! Teachers read books aloud to the class, helping kids understand the text and its lessons.
9:10am - 9:55am
CONNECTIONS
Music, gym, and art help scholars connect what they're learning in class with the world.
9:55am - 10:40am
MATH
Counting, adding, and subtracting become joyful adventures as we play with numbers and manipulatives.
11:05am - 12:00pm
FOUNDATIONAL LITERACY
A joyful adventure of building strong reading & writing skills.
12:00pm - 12:30pm
RECESS
A chance to move our bodies, be active, make friends, and navigate different personalities.
12:30pm - 1:30pm
DECODABLE TEXT
Scholars read and decode stories and sentences, making many new discoveries and learning along the way!
1:30pm - 2:00pm
MATH INTERVENTION
Small-group math instruction.
2:15pm
DISMISSAL
We head home knowing there is more wonder to explore tomorrow! After-school programming available.

Each school day follows a schedule and routine, complete with joyful learning a variety of fun learning formats, and specials, including small group learning, breakout rooms, art, music, physical education, team-building, and breaks in between.
