Breakthrough Public Schools hosts Black History Month Program

On Thursday, February 29th we culminated the recognition of Black History Month with a network-wide celebration. Our scholars dressed up as prominent black history figures, performed and participated in a painting activity. The event was attended by scholars, school staff and our families. Huge thanks to all scholars and families who made it out – your energy made the night unforgettable! Let’s keep the inspiration going all year long.

“Planning this event was a collective effort,” said academic projects coordinator Miss Scarbrough, “our aim was to celebrate with another, honor the lives of those who came before us, and inspire those who are with us now.

Many thanks to the organizers of this event. Stay tuned for next year’s Black History Month Celebration.
