Weekly Family Update

Greetings CLA-EAST Families,

The second trimester is closing this week on Thursday. Scholars have been urged to talk with all of their teachers about grade book and any work they may have missed. Report cards for the second trimester will be mailed home on March 6th. If you have any questions regarding your scholar’s grades please contact those teachers individually. 

Re-enrollment is now underway but will be ending soon. The deadline for early re-enrollment was February 14th. Any scholar who did not complete their re-enrollment at this point is not guaranteed a seat in their grade for next year. This does not mean you cannot still enroll. Open enrollment has begun and all empty seats will be filled on a first-come basis. If you have questions about re-enrollment be sure to contact the school’s main office. 

Fundraiser – today from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm is the chipotle fundraiser for 8th grade Jr. Prom. Please plan on going to chipotle located at 11452 Euclid Ave. 30% of all sales will go towards CLAE’s 8th grade Jr. prom. Be sure to show the fundraising flyer on your smartphone to notify the staff you are supporting the school. 

8th graders attending the St. Martin DePores High School shadow day this Thursday, must have their permission slips returned no later than Thursday morning. The selected scholars will leave the school around 8:45 am and return by 12:30 pm. 

After school tutoring and Saturday academy has been great. We are now officially in the test prep season. All scholars who are scheduled to attend afterschool tutoring or Saturday academy are required to be there for the designated sessions. Sholas who have perfect attendance throughout will earn a fun field trip with Mr. Franklin at the end of all sessions. If you have questions about tutoring or Saturday academy, please contact me.
