Weekly Family Update 2/12/18
Happy Monday CLA-EAST Families!
We are looking forward to a great week here in the building and for you as well. This week’s schedule is not a typical one and we ’ll need your assistance this week managing the change for our scholars. The biggest change comes on Monday and Tuesday. On both days we will be taking the practice state exams. This is a time that our scholars will get to sample what it feels like to sit through the 6th grade Ohio State assessment. Although it’s merely a portion of the actual spring
assessment, we want our scholars to prepare as if it is the real thing. That begins with you. Please be sure to your scholar is getting a good night’s rest and arriving to school by 7:15 am to eat breakfast. Testing will take place between 8:00 am and 11:00 am on both days. As a reminder, and due to Student-Led Conferences, there will be an early dismissal on Wednesday (2/14) and no school for scholars on Thursday (2/15). There is also no school on Friday (2/16) and Monday (2/19). We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday or Thursday for their Student-Led Conference. If you are still in need of signing up please do so by going to www.CLE-EAST.org or calling the main office at 216-352-5900.
Thanks to everyone for showing your support to our 1st place basketball team who improved to 4-1 on the season.
Saturday’s game was a thriller as we defeated Chapelside 31-29 in overtime. The playoffs begin in two weeks.
