CLA School Closing Information

Dear Parent/Guardians,

As the winter weather season approaches, Citizens Leadership Academy will have to make informed decisions regarding the safety of our students and cancel our school day. The decision to close Citizens Leadership Academy due to inclement or unsafe weather conditions is not treated lightly.

It is important for all families to be aware of the procedures that Citizens Leadership Academy uses to communicate school closures.  CLA administration will monitor weather forecasts and conditions beginning at 4:30am to ensure the school will close during unsafe transportation conditions.  By 5:30am, the decision will be made to remain open or to close Citizens Leadership Academy.  School closure announcements will be promptly distributed using the following timeline below:

4:00-5:00am                     Monitor weather conditions

5:30am                                 Deadline for decision

                                5:30am                                 Notify media outlets (Channels 3, 5, 8, 19), update CLA’s website, send mass email to families and robocall all CLA families

 

Citizens Leadership Academy uses numerous methods to contact the families of its scholars but sometimes this is not enough.  If our records are outdated or incorrect important school closing information will be missed. If they are incorrect or inactive, please contact Citizens Leadership Academy as soon as possible.
