Our network of K-8 free, public charter schools includes five campuses throughout greater Cleveland. In our classrooms, you’ll find an immersive curriculum being taught with active, joyful learning to give scholars the foundation they need for a bright future.
Breakthrough Schools is hiring for a wide variety of positions. We are looking for general education and special education teachers, school leaders, school-based support staff, and network staff. We have teaching positions for grades Kindergarten to 8th grade, for both new and experienced teachers. Check our job board for all current positions.

We are always looking for excellent teachers! We need smart, mission-driven, motivated individuals to make this vision a reality. Our teachers need to hold a valid OH teaching license, or a substitute license with a Bachelor's degree. Step 1 – Online Application
This is your first opportunity to tell us about yourself! When you complete the application, you will be asked to upload a resume and complete several short narrative response questions, including why you want to work in urban education and at one of our schools.
Step 2 – Phone Screen
If you meet basic qualifications, you will be asked for an initial interview by phone. A link will be emailed to you to schedule.
Step 3 – School-Based Interview
After a phone screen, the hiring team will match you with available positions and schedule an in-person interview with a school-based team. Candidates are required to complete a sample lesson when interviewing for a teacher position.
Step 4 – Join the Team!
Upon completing the reference checks, we will make an offer contingent on successfully completing your background check.

Yes, all Breakthrough Schools comply with any applicable state and federal laws, which means all of our teaching staff must hold a valid Ohio teaching license or a substitute license with a bachelor's degree.
We use Wit and Wisdom for ELA, iReady for math curriculum, and iReady for diagnostic benchmark assessments to monitor student growth.
