Ready Set Go: 2021 Week 1
Hello Breakthrough family!
Thank you so much for enrolling your child/ren’s in a Breakthrough School for next year. We are so excited to welcome another class of scholars to our schools in August.
As you begin your journey with Breakthrough Schools you will receive our summer communication, called Ready Set Go. Ready Set Go is a weekly message with grade-level appropriate book ideas that you and your scholar can enjoy together, tips on getting ready for the upcoming school year, and family friendly event ideas that you can take part in.
This week I want to let you know about the resources we have available for you on the Breakthrough Schools website https://breakthroughschools.org/family-resources/. In the Families section you will find information about transportation, uniforms, the school calendar for next year, and much more.
For example, did you know that there is free shipping on uniform orders placed online through 7/31/21!
Did you know that the sign-up for yellow bus transportation is now open?
Did you know that the first day of school for 1st-8th grade scholars is Monday, August 23rd and the first day for kindergarten scholars is Wednesday, August 25th?
All of this information is on the website in the Family Resource section. I encourage you to visit the website throughout the summer for updates, event details, and helpful information.

This is a list of community-sponsored, family-friendly events in and around Cleveland. These are not school-sponsored events, we just wanted to share some things to do during the summer if they are interesting to you!
Summer Dance Party

Stretch your legs and enjoy Garfield Park Reservation. Walk through the forest, over creeks, past the old iron spring, and along the location of the old boating pond. DaddYoga: FREE Virtual Yoga Class for Dads & Kids
June 13 & 27 at 10 a.m. on Zoom.

DaddYoga is yoga for dads and kids to do together. It’s a unique, fun, and free opportunity for fathers and their young children to learn and practice yoga. And best of all, it can be done from the comfort of your own home.

6th - 8th Grade
Paola Santiago and the River of Tears
