Weekly Family Update

Greetings CLA-EAST Families!

Welcome back! 2019 has many things to be excited about. I’m so glad to be back to work with your scholar, our teachers and of course you.

As we move into the second half of the school year we begin our shift to academic awareness. Both achievement and growth are themes for this time of the school year. With plans for academic personal pathways, small group pull-outs and very detailed tutoring assignments; each scholar will her his/her plan for success.

Our first big event of 2019 will be our annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. This is a day where we come together to honor the legacy of Dr. King. Please plan to join us on this day for a pancake breakfast and several volunteer projects. We have several projects planned this year on site and away from campus.

In the 6th grade, we are excited to announce Ms. Patterson delivered her baby boy on January 4th. The both of them are doing well and enjoying their time together at home. Scholars will continue to receive science instruction from a long-term substitute teacher and with the support of the leadership team inside the classroom.

Lastly, it’s time for re-enrollment. If you have not already done so, please take the time to complete your re-enrollment. You can do so by logging in to your SchoolMint account.

I’m looking forward to another great week…let’s go TIGERS!

Yours in Education,

Ricardo Franklin, Sr.

Founding Principal
