Welcome to The Intergenerational School. Founded in 2000 by Dr. Cathy Whitehouse & Dr. Peter Whitehouse, The Intergenerational School has consistently been recognized as one of the leading public charter schools in the country. TIS is located in Cleveland, Ohio, serves grades K-8, and is a free public school.
Our founding school campus is the only public charter school in Cleveland to receive EIGHTExcellent orExcellent with Distinction Ratings from the State of Ohio.

Getting Here
The Intergenerational School is located at 11327 Shaker Boulevard Suite 200 in Cleveland, Ohio. We are near Shaker Blvd and MLK Jr Boulevard, as well as near St Luke’s Medical Center.
Information for Parents & Families
School Day & Year
The Intergenerational School starts at 8am and ends at 3pm. Our School year begins on August 12th and ends on May 27th. View our full calendar here.

At The Intergenerational School, we offer Before & After School care, including extra curriculars and much more.
Music & Art
We offer music and arts activities for students to creatively express themselves.
Enrichment
We offer variety of extracurriculars activities such as basketball and cheerleading.
