Ready Set Go: Summer Week 4

Hello Breakthrough family!

Welcome to Week 4 of Ready Set Go!

Last week I was asked about ways that parents and guardians new to the Breakthrough family can get involved. As a parent of two alums and an active volunteer for years, I've been involved in different ways and I wanted to share a few of them:

  • Join the Parent Advisory Committee at your school
  • Volunteer to open car doors during drop off and pick up
  • Assist your classroom teacher throughout the year
  • Grow the Breakthrough family by sharing your school with friends and family. Here's a link you can fill out that will help connect them.
  • Support Advocacy Efforts to secure full public support for your school (Email our Co-Founder John Zitzner directly).
  • Go canvassing with us. During the summertime we go canvassing in each school's neighborhood to let families know about our schools as an option for them. Contact me directly if you'd like to join. You'll get a free Breakthrough T-Shirt, too! 🙂

Thanks for all your interest and questions. Keep them coming!
